Leslie Fandrich

Drawing upon personal experiences, Fandrich explores feminism, family relationships and the embodied experiences of women in North American society. Intuitive and cyclical processes of creation and destruction inform her studio art practice.

Leslie’s work has been exhibited at Milkweed in Sugar Loaf, NY, Gallery 66 NY in Cold Spring, NY, Braithwaite Fine Art Gallery at the Southern Utah Museum of Art in Cedar City, UT, Chris Davidson Gallery at The Regal Bag Factory and Teran Studio, both in Newburgh, NY, and Catalyst Gallery in Beacon, NY, as well as other venues and gallery spaces in the Hudson Valley. Her work has been reviewed and featured in Chronogram, D&H Canvas and on Collageart.com. In 2016 she co-edited and contributed writing and artwork to Identity & Anonymity: An Artful Anthology with Jonathan Talbot and Steven M. Specht and participated in the accompanying exhibition at The Seligmann Center in Sugar Loaf, NY. She is a member of the Orange County Arts Council and regularly participates in the Open Studio Tour and local art events.

Leslie is pursing an MFA at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, MA. She received a BFA from the Alberta College of Art and Design in Canada. Born and raised in Canada, Leslie has lived most of her adult life in the United States. She lives in Warwick, NY with her husband and two children.
